
UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE
The Security Council is the principal organ of the
United Nations, responsible for maintaining
international peace and security.
Composed of
fifteen members, it has the power to impose
sanctions, authorize military force, and set up
peacekeeping operations. The Security Council
meets regularly to address threats to international
peace and security, including issues such as
terrorism, nuclear proliferation, and humanitarian
crises. Its decisions are binding on all UN member
states, making it a powerful and influential body in
the global community.
